FAE receives Nuria Marín, Mayor of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat

The Mayoress has visited the facilities of FAE, to see first-hand its new ISO-7 type Clean Room, where ceramic sensors are manufactured mainly for lambda probes. During the visit, she was accompanied, among others, by Toni Vegara, Coordinator of District 3. The mayor was very interested in the manufacturing process, from the synthesis of ceramics, the serigraphy of the ducts until the probe is assembled lambda.

With an investment of around €6M, this 700m² Clean Room currently has a manufacturing capacity of 3 million sensors, expandable to 6 million. In addition, he has also toured the new 180m² ESD (Electro Static Discharge) electronic room, in which there is new equipment that allows  FAE have a leaner production and embark on Industry 4.0.

Recently and thanks to 20 years of experience and R&D in the production of oxygen sensors, FAE has been chosen as the “Surprising Brand” by more than 400 Spanish workshops in the “Automotive Aftermarket Quality and Service Awards” for this product line, held in Spain at the beginning of 2018.

Francisco Marro, President of FAE, has thanked the mayor for the visit to its facilities, as well as the interest shown in this great project, and also thanks all the staff of FAE that they are the real architects that have been able to reach this technological level to be able to manufacture complex sensors of both electronics and multilayer ceramics.
